Stockbridge Panthers Varsity scored five runs in the first on its way to a 9-3 victory over Lansing Waverly on Monday. The big inning was thanks to a walk by McKenzie Noble, a single by Madi Mazuca, a home run by Emily Breslin, and a double by Katelyn Knieper.
Breslin pitched Stockbridge Panthers Varsity to victory. She went seven innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out 11 and walking one.
Paige Wooden and Breslin each had two hits. Hannah Gutting, Knieper, Breslin, and Hannah Lockhart all had doubles, while Lena Jackson hit a triple.
