The Stockbridge JV Girls Basketball Team got back on the winning ways Wednesday night as they beat Concord 58-46. The Panthers started out slowly scoring only 6 points in the opening quarter and a total of 17 in the first half. This found them in a eight point halftime deficit, but a huge third quarter saw them outscore Concord 22-3 to take an 11 point lead into the fourth quarter. Coach Hejnal said, “Our defensive intensity really picked up after halftime and that led us to a lot of fast break point.”

Sylvia Whitt led the team in scoring with 18, while Madi Mazuca contributed 12. Jordan Myers and Hailee Fraser-Gutting each chipped in with 7. Tyler Showerman, Kaylee Dalton, Ori Hackworth, Molly Nichols, and Paige Wooden all added points as well. The win raises their record to 4-2 on the season. They are off until after the first of the year when they travel to Chelsea on Friday January 4.
