Stockbridge QB Mason Gee-Montgomery has been named as one of 10 finalists for the Michigan Football Player of the Year.
Gee-Montgomery continues his record setting career during his senior campaign. He currently has completed 187 of 262 passes for 2,400 yards and 38 touchdowns this season. He has also rushed for 446 yards on 130 carries for 3 touchdowns. His 38 touchdowns give him 122 passing touchdowns in his 29 game career eclipsing the state record of 104 set by Travis Smith of Ithaca in 42 games from 2011-13.
He also ranks 4th in career passing yardage with 8,060 yards, 3rd in career passing completions with 577, as well as numerous other listings in the MHSAA Football Record book. (http://www.mhsaa.com/sports/football/record-book/individual-records)
Gee-Montomgery will look to improve on his accomplishments as he leads his 5-4 Panthers into the post-season this Friday at Ida in a 1st round pre-district football game. The game will be played at Ida with a 7:00 kick-off.
