Game Recap

The JV Football team had a strong outing on both sides of the ball against the visiting Lions of Maple Valley, winning 40-6.

The defense had a very strong showing behind the play of Linebacker play of Tylin Ayers, Josh Lewis, and Hunter Thayer. The defensive line was also very strong as a unit. The defense forced 3 turnovers including 1 fumble recovery and 2 interceptions.

The starting offensive line of Keeler, Mannor, Hughes, Ayers, and Cooper dominated the field of play and led to some strong offensive performances as the team rolled up 493 yards of offense. The offense was led by Cody Freiermuth who completed 3-6 passes for 55 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 325 yards on 18 carries and 2 more TD’s. Brad Niec had 8 carries for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns, Matthew Killinger had 4 carries for 27 yards and 1 reception for 10 yards and a TD. Hunter they caught the other 2 balls for 43 yards and 1 TD.

The team returns to action next Thursday when they play host to Leslie. Kick-off will be at 6:30.
